PDP Governorship Candidate Involved In Road Accident

PDP1
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party  in the last general elections in Benue state, Terhemen Tarzoor was involved in a ghastly motor accident while travelling from Jos, capital of Plateau state to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Tarzoor’s convoy was involved in a ghastly motor accident that left two people badly injured yesterday night, Daily Trust reports.
The accident occurred at Bade, along Jos-Bade Junction-Keffi road some minutes past 7pm, and left two vehicles including Tarzoor’s security back-up badly damaged.
Tarzoor  is currently  challenging the election of Samuel Ortom of the All Progressives Congress at the election petition tribunal in the state after Ortom was declared  winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He was however unhurt as the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV he was in was not affected in the accident, his close associate, Cornelius Hwande told Daily Trust by phone, on Sunday.
The back-up car damaged is a  Toyota Prado SUV with registration number PHC880AA, which had four occupants, including the driver and four security guards. It somersaulted and landed off the road.
A Volkswagen space wagon which had only the driver which tried to overtake the convoy on the right side, ran into the convoy, pushing the SUV to skid off the road.
Tarzoor had filed a case at the tribunal through his counsel, Joy Adesino (SAN), challenging the eligibility of Ortom to contest the gubernatorial polls in the state, praying the tribunal to declare Ortom’s votes invalid and declare him the winner.
Meanwhile, Ortom has been given the green light to borrow N10 billion by the Benue state house of assembly, due to the lingering financial crisis in the state.
