NAOMI
CAMPBELL is appealing against the ruling of an Italian court,
which gave her a six-month suspended prison sentence over the
assault of a paparazzo in 2009.
The supermodel was said to have "swung her purse" at
Gaetano Di Giovanni as he was taking pictures of her and her
then-boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, on the island of Lipari during a
yacht trip. The photographer claims that his eye was scratched in
the incident and required medical attention.
"We are appealing the ruling surrounding the 2009
incident," a member of Campbell's legal team told Page Six today, but declined to comment
further.
